NEW!!!!
THE EQUALIZER BAREBACK Saddle is a major break
through in close-contact riding. It looks like
our LUXURY BAREBACK PAD but it is actually saddle built on a "tree"
fashioned from two heavy duty plastic plates that
run the length and breadth of the bearing surface of
the pad. See the shape of the tree on the underside,
pictured on the right. The plates are vented to
allow heat to escape. See the many vent holes. The
plates are sandwiched between the pure wool felt on
the underside, that of course goes against the
horse, and the sheepskin on the top, that provides
plush comfort for the rider!. Like our extremely
successful LUXURY BAREBACK PAD, this upgraded
edition cinches western, and has all the standard
fittings that are heavily reinforced with hidden
webbing.
The tree in this saddle spreads the bearing
weight of the rider over a larger surface of the
horse's back, equalizing the downward pressure . It
also adds greater comfort for the purchase of the
wide webbing band (hidden between the two layers of
the pad) that goes over the top to connect both
cinch rings. Because the tree is flexible, THE
EQUALIZER BAREBACK PAD moves with the motion of the
horse's back.
Colors off-white or black. Price $595.00
without mountings
Add $100 for the complete package of top grade
mountings: leathers, stirrups, girth, off-billet,
and near-side tackaberry lacing.

The BAREBACK SADDLE shown in black sheepskin, with black leathers, AND "bling" hand-engraved stirrups, which come standard. Please note that the stirrup leathers are issued extra long, to accommodate very tall riders, or short riders. The stirrup leathers are especially designed so they can be easily trimmed to custom fit the leg length needed. Colors on the engraved stirrups are brown, or black.. Also as an alternative, at no charge, are plain Brady oxbows stirrups. Look under stirrups to find
Brady Oxbows. |
The BAREBACK SADDLE is a major breakthrough in "bareback pads", because it functions like an actual saddle. The key to its runaway success is the tackaberry girthing system, where the
pulley-type function enables the rider to gain a secure purchase. Big D rings are attached to wide webbing that goes over the FLEXIBLE tree so the pull of the girth is spread over the first third of the tree. The rear two-thirds of the tree accommodates the weight of the rider. The end result is EVEN pressure on the back of the horse! Fit this BAREBACK SADDLE with a breast plate, and a crupper, and it will stay put even in rough country. |

The HUN BAREBACK PAD
. Four thousand years ago, the Huns used a bareback pad stuffed with horse hair. They plundered far and wide from their homelands on the southern steppes of what is now Russia. The Australian Stock Saddle company has today re-created that pad, with some modern adaptions, like a nylon tackaberry cinching system, and neoprene girth. The stuffing is genuine horsehair., just like the original, and the lining is pure wool serge. After riding this pad, it will become clear why the Huns could ride on it for MONTHS. Price: $149 |
