The HALF SEAT SHOOTIST This Saddle comes in Australian leather with panels lined with Merino sheepskin.
The saddle in a 15" seat size weighs 20 lbs bare. It comes standard on a semi-quarter tree.
Comes also in 16" and 17" seats. We can adjust it to any wither. This is a style of saddle popular in America 100 years ago and,
not surprising, it rides like an Australian saddle, with the stirrups hanging more forward, and free moving, because they are
EXPOSED and do not inhibit the leg going forward. Modern Western saddles have the fenders UNDER the skirting,
which is an obstruction to movement of the leg. There is no pinching with the original way of hanging Western fenders,
because the leg does not move off the fender. Back in the old days in America, riders crossing the Great Planes
needed legs forward for knee and back relief -- and this is how Australians still ride today, because they still must cover
vast distances on their horses. Colors as shown, or black. Price, $1,295 ready to ride.
