NEW!!!!
THE EQUALIZER BAREBACK Saddle is a major break
through in close-contact riding. It looks like
our LUXURY BAREBACK PAD but it is actually saddle built on a "tree"
fashioned from two heavy duty plastic plates that
run the length and breadth of the bearing surface of
the pad. See the shape of the tree on the underside,
pictured on the right. The plates are vented to
allow heat to escape. See the many vent holes. The
plates are sandwiched between the pure wool felt on
the underside, that of course goes against the
horse, and the sheepskin on the top, that provides
plush comfort for the rider!. Like our extremely
successful LUXURY BAREBACK PAD, this upgraded
edition cinches western, and has all the standard
fittings that are heavily reinforced with hidden
webbing.
The tree in this saddle spreads the bearing
weight of the rider over a larger surface of the
horse's back, equalizing the downward pressure . It
also adds greater comfort for the purchase of the
wide webbing band (hidden between the two layers of
the pad) that goes over the top to connect both
cinch rings. Because the tree is flexible, THE
EQUALIZER BAREBACK PAD moves with the motion of the
horse's back.
Colors off-white or black. Price $595.00
without mountings
Add $100 for the complete package of top grade
mountings: leathers, stirrups, girth, off-billet,
and near-side tackaberry lacing.

The BAREBACK SADDLE shown in black sheepskin, with black leathers, AND "bling" hand-engraved stirrups, which come standard. Please note that the stirrup leathers are issued extra long, to accommodate very tall riders, or short riders. The stirrup leathers are especially designed so they can be easily trimmed to custom fit the leg length needed. Colors on the engraved stirrups are brown, or black.. Also as an alternative, at no charge, are plain Brady oxbows stirrups. Look under stirrups to find
Brady Oxbows. |
The BAREBACK SADDLE is a major breakthrough in "bareback pads", because it functions like an actual saddle. The key to its runaway success is the tackaberry girthing system, where the
pulley-type function enables the rider to gain a secure purchase. Big D rings are attached to wide webbing that goes over the FLEXIBLE tree so the pull of the girth is spread over the first third of the tree. The rear two-thirds of the tree accommodates the weight of the rider. The end result is EVEN pressure on the back of the horse! Fit this BAREBACK SADDLE with a breast plate, and a crupper, and it will stay put even in rough country. |
The BAREBACK POLEY SADDLE comes with 4" poleys built into the lexanne plates that make the body of this incredible bareback saddle. The poleys come standard in black. These poleys can also be fitted on black bareback saddles, or any other custom sheepskin color. The poleys can also come in brown leather. The BAREBACK POLEY saddle is shown here with the custom saddle bag, which go one on each side, or a single bag.
Price: $795.00 BAREBACK POLEY SADDLE complete with stirrups, leathers and girthing system
(bag not included)
|

 |
The poleys on The BAREBACK POLEY SADDLE are 4" high and so positioned as to allow a standing rider to lean against them comfortably, to launch arrows, take jumps, or be in a forward position for cross country at high speed. |
The BAREBACK POLEY SADDLE WITH CANTLE
The bareback saddle now also comes with a cantle that is 5" in height, and dished for rider comfort. Standard colors brown or black. Custom colors, add $100. Both the knee pads and the cantle are secured to the lexanne plates that equally distributes weight on the horse. The rigging is western with tackaberry girthing system. Guarantee on workmanship is 10 years.
MADE IN AMERICA. Price completely mounted, ready to ride: $995
Look, you can ride this saddle with bare legs, and there is no pinching! This because of the position of the stirrup leathers and the fact the straps are buried in lush Merino sheepskin.

The underside of the BAREBACK SADDLE PAD, with no plates, showns how this pad is sewn together with heavy-duty webbing. The stitching represents the placement of the webbing. The plates, with the next LUXURY model, are placed over this, and then stitched to the underside to leave pure sheepskin felt that goes to the horse. The pad is 24" at its longest, and 29" at its widest. |

The Big D ring on the bareback pad, to take any Western rigging. The
rings are secured with heavy webbing OVER the
pad, but under the seat, sandwiched between felt for the horse, and pure
Merino sheepskin for the rider.
|

How the pad is secured from an in-built girth ring, to a
tackaberry buckle that connects to the ring of the girth.. |
A Standard BAREBACK PAD with a serious tackaberry girthing system. The top is padded, quilted suede leather, and the webbing is heavy-duty breakstrain. The rings on the top can be used for short stirrup leathers for a kid riding in front, or for lashing down cargo. Comes complete with the girthing system, as shown.

We can add a custom-made saddle bag to your saddle, as shown. The
bag comes in a near-side version (the side from which you traditionally mount the horse) and an off-side
version. A lacing on a D on the bottom of the leading edge of the bag enables you to attach it to the girth, to prevent flapping. Please specify off-side, or near side, when ordering. They are also sold in pairs.
Colors brown or black. Price $69 single, or $120 a pair.

The HUN BAREBACK PAD
. Four thousand years ago, the Huns used a bareback pad stuffed with horse hair. They plundered far and wide from their homelands on the southern steppes of what is now Russia. The Australian Stock Saddle company has today re-created that pad, with some modern adaptions, like a nylon tackaberry cinching system, and neoprene girth. The stuffing is genuine horsehair., just like the original, and the lining is pure wool serge. After riding this pad, it will become clear why the Huns could ride on it for MONTHS. Price: $149 |

Hun Pad with Stirrups
The Hun Bareback Pad now comes with stirrups of your choice, shown here with Aussie safety stirrups. The English stirrup leathers are fixed to a ring built into the tackaberry girthing system, offering great security. Leathers and rigging can also come in brown. The idea of putting stirrups on a bareback pad was invented by Attila the Hun, who actually stole the stirrup from the Chinese, who had developed it 800 years before him. Only, the Chinese had just ONE stirrup, as a mounting aid. Attila was first to put a stirrup on each side!. (PS: history has no record of a lawsuite filed by the Chinese against Attila for ripping off their idea!)
Price of rig complete: $295
