LEATHER CAGE, for safety. The cage prevents a foot going thru the stirrup.
We build our cages out of leather so they will rip, in the event the cage is
caught in something unforgiving, like the steel latch of a steel gate!

Extra Wide Aussie Safety Oxbow
The Extra-wide Aussie safety oxbow
is a major breakthrough in stirrup technology. The tread depth is 3",
tread width is 5 1/4", the top of the shank is 2 1/2" across, and the

This stirrup has all the same dimensions and shape as the proven Aussie
safety stirrup, but with a slot suitable for English leathers. Offers great
advantage to beginner riders, with a 5 degree camber, BECAUSE IT IS
IMPOSSIBLE TO RIDE THIS STIRRUP WITH A HEEL UP! There is also the
traditional Australian safety curve, to make a hang-up much less likely. For
seasoned riders, it gives wide foot support for long distance, while

Campdraft Leather
The legendary campdraft leather,
the most commonly used stirrup leather in the Australian bush. The outside
is 2 1/2", the backside 1 1/4". No pinching! Note how the tongue of the
leather goes back down through the buckle, and then threads thru the slot of
the iron, to stop it moving around. Shown here fitted with an Australian
safety oxbow. The leathers are 5" at their widest,
and 2 l/2" where they pass under the shank of a stirrup, and 2" where they
go over the stirrup suspension bar of an Australian saddle, or over the rail
of the tree of a Western saddle. Size: Medium and Large

Brady Oxbow
The famous Brady aluminum oxbow can be fitted with "bottoms" to attach
to our 4"-fenders. The stirrup has a tread depth of 2 1/2", a (naked) tread
width of 5", and a height clearance of 5". The shank is 2 3/8" across, and
the slot is for an English leather.
They come with leather tread only on the bottom, or leather covered, as

The BELL BRADY STIRRUP is a new edition to the standard Australian
Brady Oxbow. It has a completely flat foot tread, 4 7/8" inside
measurement, with a height clearance of 5 1/8". Made from cast aluminum,
for both strength and lightness. Solid leather tread, laced on bottom.

Four Bar Iron
The traditional Australian four-bar iron comes in stainless steel,
chrome or brass. In the standard size, the iron has a tread depth of 2
1/2", a tread width of 4 3/4", and a height clearance of 4 5/8". The
iron is shown fitted with "bottoms", to accommodate the popular
4"-fenders. This adds $10 a pair. Note the top slot to take an English
leather (great for dressage!)

Four Inch Fender
The four-inch fender, common to Australian stock saddles in the US.
It works like a mini Western fender, but hangs off the stirrup
suspension bar. BEWARE: Some copies of this fender developed by us are
being manufactured without webbing. Make sure any fender of this style
that you use has webbing down the complete length of the fender, and
also around the bottom buckle piece that is bolted to the iron (with
self-locking teflon-loaded nuts ONLY) Note how the buckle is attacked to
the fender AFTER SLIDING UP THE SLEEVE TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE ADJUSTMENT.
Fenders come in lengths 21", 24", 26" and 28", colors black or
brown. Grade B leather is $70 pair, Grade A leather is $115 a pair
